HobbyKing Turnigy Nano Tech battery

I picked up this little 3 cell 850 and have been using it on my Slow Stick for a few months. It gets flown quite often in my front yard. I must say this little battery is doing very well. I use it along with other brands (whatever was on sale) and the Nano Tech so far is my favorite. Anbody else using them with good result?

Yes, I'm using the same 3S 850mAH NanoTech batteries in my little SkyAngel F16 EDF.

They work well -- better than the stock battery. In fact I've put the stock battery into service in the FPV plane now to power the camera and video transmitter.

I have 2 x 1300 2 cell and 2x 4000 2 cell Nano Tech batteries and they are great though I do notice that the 4000s fade very quickly at the end of discharge, so much so that I have damaged a model having been caught out by this.

It had happened to me with a FlightPower EVO 25C (around 2200 mAh) battery , but it got much better after using it a few times - it "soften" up a bit. I do use NanoTechs of different capacities as well, so far - so good. Very happy

OK ... so we can agree that the Nano tech's from Hobby king are a good battery?
I need a few more 2200 3s's.
I am asking this because I cannot figure out the difference between a $85NZ 2200Nimh 3S 30C and a $18NZ 2200Nimh 3S 30C. Apart from the name the look the same, weigh the same, are supposed to have the same Capacity and discharge rate. So why are some 4 times the price of others. I doubt it is going to have 4 times the service cycle.

This might be an interesting experiment for Bruce?

Yes, I'm about to do a lot of lipo-testing.

I've got some Turnigy nano-tech packs but (to be honest) haven't actually noticed a big difference between them and similarly rated Zippy packs in actual use.

I've got the Gens Ace batteries here and I'll be getting a few more from HobbyKing to do some baseline testing on as well.

Other stuff to finish first though.
