Prop strike now motor squeals

Hi guys,
I had a prop strike with my FMS P-40 that bent the aluminum prop adapter shaft and pulled one of the blades out of the spinner base. This model has 3 separate prop blades that screw into the spinner base plate. I thought that the screws simply pulled out since the blade itself wasn't damaged so I put all the blades back on with longer screws. I replaced the prop adapter shaft on the front of the motor and everything appears to be true but the motor now squeals and it doesn't accelerate smoothly. It feels like there is a hitch at about 1/3 throttle and then it jumps to a higher rpm. I disassembled the motor and the bearings are spinning free and the motor shaft appears straight. I put a dab of silicon oil on the bearings just because, but it still squeals. Can I/should I try to replace the motor shaft or just replace the entire motor? Oh, and there is vibration too. a little with just the motor, a lot with the prop on.

Thanks

Sounds as though the front bearing is damaged.

Thanks Bill.
Any recommendations where to find bearings or shafts. Any searches I do for this motor only show the aluminum prop adapter as a replacement part.

Here's a place to get your bearings... To check a shaft roll it on a piece of glass... GL.
