Flysky 9X transmitter/Frsky V8JT module

Has anyone heard of an issue with this combination? I've read a blog recently which stated the following:

Ok, the problem is that the 9x drives the ppm signal to the module direct from the atmel processor. This gives a 5V, low impedance signal.
Unfortunately the V8JT assumes a high impedance or open collector drive so it has no overload protection on the ppm input.
The bottom line is that you are driving a 5V signal into a 3.3V processor input and there is a big chance it will fail.

I'm not that technical, but I get the gist, and it ain't good! I also see that Frsky has discontinued this module. I'm concerned mine may fail at any time, and am trying to find out if Frsky are going to sell a module with a fix.

Thanks Mark

The statement made about this was on RC Groups. The solution was also included.
see here:http://www.frsky-rc.com/ShowNews.asp?id=37.
If your transmitter is operating normally,I don't think you have anything to worry about. This concerned an early issue with jittering servo's.
