Having done this on my 30cc and 20cc birds I'd go with 1 2300mah A123 with dual leads from the bat. One goes to a switch and then to the receiver. The other goes to a swtich then to a voltage reducing diode extension (see link below) and then to the ignition. No noise, one bat, less weight. I'm running on 2.3 Ghz btw.

On my 50cc gasser I'm running a 2300mAH A123 pack for the receiver/servos and a separate 1100mAH a123 pack with a UBEC for the ignition.

Despite the fact that I fly hard and have 50-degree throws on all surfaces, I use about 100mAH per flight from both packs so in theory, I could probably get at least 7-8 flights from the ignition and 12-15 flights from the main pack before recharging.

However, I usually throw things on charge after about 4-5 flights. It only takes about 6-7 minutes and both packs are fully-charged again.
