After discovering that the my controller would not link with my RX I opened up the RX and found this. Sorry about the quality anyway it seems one of the conponents has half come off and this is the second time it has happened same component. It is fixable also i should add that i used it when i was racing my RC car . I think that they break off because the tabs on the non label side of the case break it off if it gets shaken around too much. Just a warning if anyones uses it in a rc car just make sure the board is held securely in place inside the case.

I know from my days in 1/8th circuit racing that the rc gear gets a hard time in these cars, especially if you're running in car parks, etc. We had the rx wrapped in foam, and then suspended on rubber bands between 2 posts.
Presumably, today's cars are different,so I would suggest you check all connections on your receiver, and any vulnerable components could be spotted in place with silicone or hot glue. This should reduce movement to a minimum. Also, always use soldered or welded rx battery packs, never use a holder with loose cells.
