Hi everybody!
Well, all I can say it is a very good servo for the money. It has 2 ball bearings, well lubricated metal gears, almost no play in gear chain and best of all it has bronze bushings in upper gear cover, which means a long time play-free gears,a feature I did not met in far more expensive servos. The working noise is very low,in fact they are the quietest servos I have untill now.The torque is lower than specified, but still 4,5kg/cm at 4,8 v and 5,5kg/cm at 6 v.Holding power is 6kg at 4,8v and 7kg at 6v.Speed is very good, and inside is a big motor which I think it will resist a long 3D fly time. The PCB is good quality, very well fixed inside,it has mosfets in 7 amp class, wires are soldered very good, and a good quality rubber protector is used for exit point of wires.Centering is excellent. The only bad thing regarding these servos is that resolution is not good, and I am wondering myself why a such good builded servo with all excellent moving parts was designed to have so bad resolution??Actually I dont want anybody to think it is so bad,but at this high quality mechanics inside I expected more.I will definitly NOT use this servos for extreme precision fligt, but I HIGHLY RECOMMAND this servo in mid-sized Gas powered airplanes because of good vibrations resistance and well build servomotor inside.
I want if possible that you,Mr.Bruce,to do also some tests with this servo because I understood that someone sent you one for a review. As I said, this servo has best moving parts inside and is very well made except the poor resolution.Maybe it is my radio gear,Futaba FX18 which makes problems but I dont think so.
