Has anyone been able to setup a 9X for use with a simulator via an USB FMS cable? I have 2 FMS USB cables one is stereo, the other mono. I've tried both cables with Vista, Windows7 and XP. Both cables on all 3 operating systems are detected right away, but when I move the controls on the radio, there is no response whatsoever.

If these cables do not work with the 9X, has anyone had any luck using a pass through audio cable connected to an audio card?

I'd much prefer to use the radio I fly with for simulators rather than one of the dedicated usb 'radios' you can purchase.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Problem Solved!

Removing the module solved the problem. Is this normal for all radios or is it just an issue with the Turnigy 9X?

I'd really like to find out which cable you got to work and where I can get one!

There are plenty of other options available but I know this one works with the 9X.

I have used the USB simulator cable that came with my Art-tech RTF SU-27 and it works fine on FMS. Also bought a USB cable on ebay and used it with my uncles 9X without any issues. both of us use Corona DSSS V2 modules and have them plugged in when the tx is connected to the PC. I don't think what module you have makes a difference, and I also use Vista.
