On sale at Hobby King at a very reasonable price is the JR Module and 8 channel RX from FRSky.

At 39.99 I could not resist for the pair.

It is the V8 version, not the DFT telemetry system. But at the price is an awesome buy. Still one of the best modules you can get. Once I logged in the price came up as $us32.99 !
Hopefully they stock recievers and DFT modules soon.

EDIT: All versions now available! Telemetry module plus 1 telemetry 8chRx $50

I am thinking of buying the FrSky system. Hobby king is selling different receivers. Are they all compatable with each trasmitter module ?. I know one has the Two-way Radio System. the other does not.

Thanks

The 2-way transmitter module is compatible with both the 2-way and regular receivers (a switch on the module selects 2-way or "normal" mode as required.

I don't think the telemetry receivers are compatible with the non-telemetry modules but the telemetry (2-way) receivers won't work with the standard module.

So, for maximum compatibility (if you think you might want to fly with 2-way in the future) get the 2-way system and be prepared to flip the DIP switch on the module when changing.

I've suggested to FrSky that it would be nice if the 2-way transmitter modules auto-detected what receiver you were using or at least if switching between the two modes didn't involve constantly toggling tiny (and unreliable) DIP switches on the module.
