Eurgle 2.4Ghz 9Ch 3 Generation Radio - Anyone using it?

Postby bmsweb » Wed May 25, 2011 12:13 pm

Hi Guys,

I purchased one of these Radios a couple of months ago.

Just wondering if anyone else is using these? Really like it and it works as well as my Futaba (Cheaper Build) but it works fine. I've since purchased 4 x 9Ch Receivers for it along with a couple of Eurgle 3Ch Receivers (3rd Gen) which are very small and light enough for smaller model. I'm actually thinking of getting another for my son.

I basically purchased the FrSky V8HT 2.4Ghz DIY Module and only ended up using the Antenna and cable. So the module hasn't been replaced.

I've also since purchased the Hobby King Phoenix 2000 from Hobby King. Not a bad model, mind you I need to Mod the Fuselage as the wing and horizontal stabilizer are on a angle. I need to pack fuselage . . bit of a bummer but I guess it didn't cost that much.

Cheers
Paul

The Eurgle is effectively the same radio (albeit without the built-in antenna) as the Turnigy 9X V2.

The Turnigy costs a lot less than the Eurgle though but the electronics and plastic are identical.

They seem to be working very well. There are several in our club and several others that have been converted to FrSky with great success.

So would the Eurgle 3rd gen receivers work with the Turnigy Radio?

They should do -- although I'm surprised that they haven't deliberately made them incompatible so that the other distributors who sell the rebranded FlySky don't lose sales to HobbyKing.

I like the pricing and size on the 3 Eurgle Receivers. I might buy a Turnigy from Hobby King and confirm compatiblity. Thanks for the info Bruce. BTW loved the last video! any updated on the status of your HK invisible Turnigy Radio ;)
