Have Corona changed their DSSS V2 8ch RX???

I was just looking at a couple 8channel Corona DSSS V2 receivers I have and thought they looked a little different. First I noticed the different colour stickers, the old ones are purple and the new ones are black with the logo in a slightly different place. Then I opened them up and noticed the newer one has done away with one circuit board where the old one had 2 and the chip layout also looks different. I'm not sure if this will affect performance, I certainly hope not as I know the older ones work quite well and have proven themselves and I have 6 more(I'm guessing they'll be the newer ones) currently on order from HK. Can anyone shed some light??? I've attached some pics....

They've obviously made it simpler/cheaper to manufacture and hopefully they've also added some extra functionality (perhaps persistent failsafe now?)

Can't really tell just by looking though.

I will ask my contacts at Corona and see if I can get them to reply directly. I hadn't even noticed the change myself and I've sold enough of them...! The newer ones all seem to work fine as I have them in my models and I haven't had any issues yet - though just recently a customers' one did go puff on its second use in an RC Car... the replacement one is working fine (and Corona are standing by their warranty on replacing faulty units...)

I will state clearly here though, for anyone thinking of using a DIY Corona Module on an (old) Futaba Attack 2ER, Don't! Even with a signal amplifier the signal is still too weak, best not to go there..!
