I buy my A123 packs from here: since they are only 200 miles from where I live. Got a 1100mah pack for 19.95 U.S. and have been using it all last summer to power my 60 sized gas model with 4 std servos and optic receiver. Good for at least 4 - 5 flights.

Might want to check them out. Not sure what ship cost or pricing compared to other sites/countries. They carry a lot of 123 packs and chargers and ship same day or next when you place order. Can't hurt to look.

I missed the last two times the 1100's were available from Hobbyking. I ended up purchasing these: ... oduct=6444

I assume (yes... I know about assuming!) that these are the same just 2300 mah instead of 1100. All else being some what equal I have 2 questions. Should I add a Dean plug for charging or just a heavy duty JR/plug wire? Would I need a heavy duty switch as well? Any recommendation for the last two questions?

I use standard Futaba type connections on my 2-cell packs,and charge at 1c.Had no problems with wires heating up,so i would say you don't need heavy duty wiring or switch.If you wanted to charge at higher rates,HD wire might be advisable,just to cope with the charging current.YMMV,ACNR,DTTAH,etc.

I watched the A123 receiver pack youtube video.

I suspect the items required have disappeared off the inventory of the suppliers.

Can anyone post me the exact product pages for the:

1. 2s balance charging pigtail lead

2. The finishing heatshrink for the entire pack.

Much appreciated.

Alternatively you might consider looking at the LiFE Rx packs that HK (or others) sell. Saves all the DIY fussing (unless you particularly want to be doing the DIY part of course).
