Does anyone know how to get the RSSI signal from a turnigy 9X8C v2 transmitter?

I doubt that you can. With most 2.4GHz receivers there is no RSSI voltage like there was with the old long-wire gear.

The RSSI value is stored as a numeric value in a register inside the processor and not as an analog voltage.

Even those receivers that do offer an RSSI output (like some of the FrSky ones), it is not a straight analog voltage but a series of pulses that are varied to produce an "average" level which reflects the RSSI value. You still have to use a resistor/capacitor network to smooth out (integrate) these pulses into a straight analog voltage.

Would it be safe enough to fly with the pulse RSSI average value (i mean safe by going around 75% of the range), or should i investigate to find out how to get the pulses into analog voltage?

According to the link in the previous post it looks as though it can be done but the results are extremely variable.
I would doubt if the signal they are extracting is meant for rssi.

I put the turnigy 9x receiver asside for FPV, not enough range but good enough for fly around. I now use FrSky receiver w/telemetry, it beep when rssi go down. I reach 2km without a beep with stock antenna... not bad at all.

What sort of antenna set up have you used to achieve 2 Km? Standard omni? 5dB omni or patch?

Which FrSky Rx module

Doh! Missed the stock antenna reference - should read more carefully!

yep, i think it's 3dbi standard antenna, and the module i use is the DJT with v8fr receiver. I think the Dxxx receiver serie has the 2 way telemetry and if the rssi signal is low the module will beep.
