Speed sensor RPM

I have many of these sensors (see picture below), I thought about selling them on ebay but first I must find out if they are any use to anyone. The sensor looks a lot like the RPM sensors you get with the Spektrum transmitters. Although I noticed the Spektrum sensor has a tiny component (maybe a resister ?) on the board.
So has anyone any ideas
/ suggestions 
If anyone 
would like some to test (I currently don't have any means of testing my self) Id happly send a few if you cover the postage
