I think from Bruce's comments he is using the Microchip C18 compiler. See here

Hi Bruce, we haven't really had a update of this project for awhile, how long before you would think it is ready for a release?
would love to be able to use this function of the frsky. I hear that they are releasing one late this month or early next.

Hi everyone
I have been reading this forum for a while, and it was RC Model Reviews that put me onto the FRSky telemetry system. I have been playing with telemetry for a while (vario, altitude, motor current) but the FRSky unit does away with the need for the transmitter on board and also gives me a 2.4G system. On looking at the FRSky protocol, monitoring the Tx output, and some PIC coding, I have not managed to reliably isolate any particular frame because the hex start/end codes (7E, Fn,x,x,x,7E) appear in the frame as well as the start/end. From the photos of the LCD at the intro it looks as though Bruce has managed this. How? What are the criteria for the frames? For info, I am using the MPX4115 pressure sensor and a 20 bit a-D for altitude, but this device uses a 5V supply, unfortunately. The GPS chip is the LR9101, but at 1 Hz frame.

FrSky is a, for Chinese standards a very good company, but they have still a long way to go when it comes to marketing.
They change a product without mentioning the difference to us customers. Don’t they realize that they live on us customers?
I bought some time ago two D8R receivers and also two volt sensors. Yesterday I got two more D8R but with a different layout.
Old one: 3 pins at left (G +5v Rx), 2 pins in the middle row A1 (G x A1 the middle pin missing), 2 pins in the right row A2 (G x A2 the middle pin missing)
New one: 3 pins at left (G +5v Rx), 3 pins in the right row A2 (G x A2)
I have now tried to figure out how to use my volt sensor on this new one without success. The old one was problem free.
I have no problem binding either of them to my Tx.
Please can anyone advice me how to do, I’m just a layman?

Just use the A2 input of the new receiver, A1 is fixed to battery voltage, thats why the A1 is next to the + symbol.

That means I have to use A2 also on the older type of Rx and reset A1 to value 1 on my Tx module.
Here is a tip to Eva and other people in FrSky Company!
Do not answer a question on any forum; just refer to your home page where you write question and answers instead. That gives a non speaking customer a chance to have your information translated. It is impossible (almost) to find vital information in a thread with a language unknown for you.
Just try to read a Swedish forum and find what you need to know.
The absolutely best marketing and information platform is the home page of a company. No matter if it is a Chinese or Swedish company.
FrSky should be the King of your own information, not any Forum.

i have an idea for another frsky dashboard after seeing the flytron groundstation:
i like hacking gadgets and running linux on it. a while ago i hacked a cheap 'didj game handheld' and put linux with qt 4.5 on it. see
