I simply purchased a few Eurgle 3 Channel receivers for my Parkflyers and they work perfectly with standard Turnigy 9X V2 Radios. You can see just how small this receiver is in this video:

The 9X Receiver is in the Phoenix 2000 also a Hobby King Plan :)

As far as the Conversion, I really had no choice or the CG was going to be way out :( Its a shame HK don't provide the CG for some of their models. Mustangs seem to have their CG very far forward towards the leading edge of the wing . . but it flies well. The model I was modding in the Video is my Son's Mini P51 :)

If you want smaller and lighter RX, go for HK 6 and 3ch RS's, remove the casing, put them into shrink-wrap, or simply use some clear packing tape.
3ch work like a charm on light parkflyers on indoor models. The connector is a bit of fuss, as it is placed at 90 degrees at RX board, so I used some
connectors from my "broken stuff" bin, and replaced them, so they are now positioned just like the connectors on 8ch RX, parallel to RX board.
