Noob question about servo amplifiers

Hi people,
I was wondering if you could help me with my project. I'm about to embark on a project that requires a proportionally controlled large torque to an airfoil and was considering using basic my helo radio/receiver/servos to complete the feasibility study.
My question is: Can I get servo amplifiers to drive larger torque servos, IS there existing components on the market, and could you mention a few names/sizes/specifications that I could google to get me started.
Appreciate any help guys
Thank you in anticipation
Regards
Les

Define "large torque".

There are a whole range of RC servos that go right up to 2000 oz/in of torque or more -- it's just a matter of what your needs are and how large your wallet is.

Gutted, I had a feeling you would pin me down on that one....to be honest I don't know yet, but I need to know whats available and what direction to look in.

I'll research futher, and try to get some idea of spec's.
