FPV backpack

If you've been building electronic bits or modifying stuff you've bought then tell us all about it here. A good place to discuss the installation of 2.4GHz DIY modules too.

Hello Harv,

You were not in the scope, but I'm also convinced Bruce deserves the kudos...

Bruce, could you provide us wit the values of the capacitors and resistors that you discussed in your video detailing the proposed backpack design? That would be very helpful for any of us who might want to attempt bread boarding the circuit before the PCBs are available,

Thanks,

Harv

Bruce, Are you playing with the receiver modules also or just the transmitters?

I have a single receiver module setup currently that uses a UBEC for power so there is only the module with a heat sink, a pin header, a pin header cable and I added an antenna connector directly to the module for my 4 lobe antenna. (I will use this setup with the FPV backpack). Channel selection is done with jumpers on the pin header.

Dear Bruce according to the info I have on the 5.8Ghz TX modules the 20mw tx is powered by 3.3volts but the 200mw unit
is powered by 12volts, or am I using different modules to you?
Great site

I am not Bruce but the 200mw unit is also 3.3V. Some vendors have it WRONG in the description! GoodLuckBuy is one of them. There may be others as well since the Chinese tend to cut and paste a lot of English descriptions.

Thanks TP3Ranch Ive done a bit more investigating since my last post to see what other sellers claim the supply voltage should be. Most agree it's 3.3volts 320ma.
I got my modules from GOODLUCKBUY.COM and they quote 12volt 170ma. Good job I haven't tried it yet or It would have been Bad luck bye bye

CAVEAT EMPTOR as they say

Thanks again for the reply
