Feild Test
Ok , Ive tested my portable glue gun on the feild & at indoors: actual onsite repairs
For normal planes: 800mm & bigger: The bond isnt very strong. The glue bond broke, that never happens with 240v normal glue guns(for me).
The low temp glue melts & sticks, but isnt as sticky as normal glue guns.
Perhaps the normal 240v hot glue slightly melts the actual foam giving a better bond ??
For small indoor planes, with Fragile foam (My Kyosho micro) : works brillantly. The kyosho has fragile foam, that even foam safe CA will melt
Absolutey no problems with the portable glue gun. Fixed a tear across 2/3 of the wing & was back up flying again.
So:
good for micro's
hopeless on outdoor planes (bond is too weak)
