Yes, take the power and the PPM from the three wires that connect the RF board to the logic.

You can see how I did it in this video when I installed a Corona DIY in a similar JR transmitter.

After all the experimenting I have concluded that the kit is defective. There won't be any warranty because I opened up the heat shrink to see if there might be something loose. Even under a microscope I couldn't find a visual problem. So someday I'll get another one. They're on backorder....so I'll find something else to do.
