Only just found out about the whole hype...i'm flying JETI now and choose that for the telemetry (which it has for more than a year now but honestly i haven't ever used it :o).

Anyway...i'm super excited about the FRSKY but just noticed that while there is a DIY module which i almost bought, it is not capable of the two way communication like the newer modules.

Does anybody now if there will be a DIY module too that supports telemetry or do i have to hack one of the modules and has anybody ever opened theirs that can tell me if they are hackable ?

I believe that FrSky are planning on a 2-way DIY module but I don't know what time-frame is involved.

would that differ much from removing the case on a plug-in module?

Not much at all. The only thing is that you'd need to extend the wiring from the little mode-change DIP switches and telemetry connector to a plug and switches that could be mounted on the transmitter's case.

I spoke to the Eva about it and when I can start ordering in stock. They are trying to get the Telemetry Hub's ready first. Once they are ready to ship they will start producing the Telemetery Hack modules. Don't worry I am also waiting for one. However at this rate I may just end up buying a modules based transmitter just for the Telemetry. ;-)
