Hello guys,

I am in need of help regarding the conversion of my very old Futaba Conquest 4 Channel Radio system using the FrSky hack module. the problem is that i cannot figure out where to solder the three wires on this sytem as all the electronics are on a single board. i am attaching the pics of the Circuit board and the radio. It would be very helpful if you guys can identify the points at which to solder the cables. Also i would need to know that how can i disable the 72mhz system in the radio and just use the new 2.4ghz sytem only.

Thanks in advance.

This is a problem with DIY kits, if you're not somewhat electronics-savy

Does your radio have a buddy-box/trainer-cord plug?

I'll do some checking of my notes and let you know which of the wires on the trainer port is the PPM wire.

The + and - should be easier to sort out.

Thanks for the efforts, There are four wires coming into the trainer port two of them will be + and the -, and the remaining two will contain the PPM wire. I think i can do a little testing with the remaining two wires to single out the PPM wire. Now the question remains that how will i disable the 72mhz sytem in the radio. Removing the crystal is good enough or do have to take some more measures.

All you need to do is remove the crystal. This will stop the radio from transmitting on 72MHz

Also what effect will the trainer switch have on the 2.4 system if it is activated when the 2.4 system is working.

I've done a Flysky hack on a Futaba 7c and cannot imagine much difference here.
The connector is different but the signals are the same; your required info is available here http://users.belgacom.net/TX2TX/
