8$ DIY transmitter battery, need help

If you've been building electronic bits or modifying stuff you've bought then tell us all about it here. A good place to discuss the installation of 2.4GHz DIY modules too.

8$ DIY transmitter battery, need help

Postby FBURDEN » Sat Apr 16, 2011 3:28 am

I think I was a bit long on the soldering iron while doing this.
While soldering the resistor across the two existing resistors, I may have melted off the top existing resistor.

It seems to work, but the voltage I get when I turn it no is 13.6 volts... will that be ok?

The two lithium batteries give me about 8.06 volts when I test it outside the transmitter.

Also the beep I get when I turn it on has a higher pitch than my other turnigy 9x which has 8 * AA batteries.

What's the deal with the new higher pitch?

Will it be ok?

Thanks!
