FPV/Telemetry related items need your review

Postby VirginiaJim » Thu Sep 05, 2013 11:04 am

I am a long-time periodic and avid reader of your excellent reviews. Recently I have become interested in exploring FPV (in a small way) for my RC planes, and am also investing in the FrSky telemetry transmitter/receiver/sensors.

I think the following items would be outstanding items for review by someone with your particular skills explaining to newbies like myself.

The following 433Mhz transmitter/receiver kit claims to be able to display telemetry data displayed over a GPS map using a table PC as the display system. Since I have a fairly nice 7" tablet with 1024x600 resolution and a 1.6ghz dual processor (Sanei N78, from BangGood), I thought this might be a cool, inexpensive way to explore the telemetry capability of this low frequency (they claim gives better range) setup if it can really deliver what they are promising in this Hobby King product description.

I am too ignorant to judge whether purchasing this supposed 433mHz antenna would work (or even be compatible to attach to the connector) for the above transmitter/receiver, but I'm sure you could document its pros and cons better than anyone else.

This is probably a separate issue, but the low price of this OSD device begged me to ask you to evaluate this product for FPV/telemetry applications as well.

I hope you find this request both affordable and doable. It would be very helpful to have your opinions and objective evaluation of these products for myself, and I'm sure many others.

Thanks for the wonderful service your website provides to this great hobby.
