Came across one of these cameras that uses a powered lens on Low Price RC. Is this a good thing?

Xen FPV Camera Sony 1/3inch SuperHAD II CCD 600 TV Line (NTSC)
Model Number: XEN-AVG600-N
Xen Auto Brightness Control unit 2.8-12mm F1.4 for XEN-AVG600
Model Number: XEN-AVLENS-5

Board camera made in Korea. Deliver powerful Wide Dynamic Range to camera to provide the best picture under extreme high contrast between linghness and darkness. With 3D Digital Noise Reduction to provide clear and superior images in low light luminance. Having "Day & Night" function to deliver high quality of color image and convert the color into monochrome automatically when it is under the specific level of sensitivity, to ensure getting clear image in the darkness.

Just go for the camera I reviewed from SecurityCamera2000.com

It's the same board-camera at 2/3 the price ($52)

I haven't tried the powered iris attachment but the stock camera seems so good that I'd be hard pressed to see why you'd want to spend another $23 to make it better.

Ok, after looking at your review again and others I see that you are very correct in that. I wasn't really sure if this would be a good idea or not.

Mine's on it's way. I'm looking forward to seeing something other than black ground when my nose is above the horizon. :)
