Powering your ground station

I'm very close to buying the following equipment...

Fatshark Base Goggles (6-12V)
X-1000 Head Tracker (8-12V)
5.8Ghz receiver (already ordered this bit, and just noticed it's 5v)

A 3S lipo seems easy, but they are 12.6V fully charged. Should I get some kind of voltage regulator? Are there ones that will bring 11.4V (for example) up to 12V? Any suggestions for the receiver? A ubec?

I use a 2S lipo for my Fatsharks and a 3S for my video receiver. Which receiver have you ordered (the link points to the head-tracker). HK has one 5.8GHz receiver which is incorrectly labeled 5V -- I bought one and it's 6-12V.

Oops, lol, it's the 200mw one.

So the voltages aren't that critical then? Could I just power the whole lot from a 3S lipo? Why do you use a 2S for the fatsharks?

The RC305 receivers I've bought have an internal regulator that drops the voltage down from 12V to 5V so you can run them on a 2S or 3S lipo (2S is preferred).

Ok, I think I've got it now. I can power the head tracker from my transmitter battery. Then the fatsharks and receiver from a 2S lipo. Could I power the fatsharks from the transmitter as well and just have a separate battery for the receiver? I think that all comes down to how much power they use. My tx battery is a LiFe 1500mah. If I'm buying a 2S, what size do you recommend?

Edit: BEVRC says the fatsharks use 230mA, I'm going to guess that the video rx uses the same or less. So a 500mAh 2S should power them both for an hour, right? I'm thinking of getting an 800mAh 2S as that will fit in a Piaget later when I eventually get to buy one. Is that good planning or should I be playing it safe and getting a 2000mAh+ 2S for the FPV.
