I want to know if a 5.8ghz skew planar antenna have a max lenght?
Cause i want to make a long ground antenna to get better signal.
I got 20 ft of rg58 cable

You should keep the length of cable between the antenna and the receiver as short as possible because at 5.8GHz, much signal can be lost in anything other than a short length.

My SP and CL antennas connect to my receivers through no more than 75mm of coaxial cable -- just enough to give them at least wavelength of clearance. I then run my power and AV wires down my pole because these can be much longer before any issues are created.

Thanks :)
the probleme is that i cant hang the antenna high at least if i climb in a ladder, cause i use fatshark google with integrated receiver. :(

lol
or maby find a receiver that is compatible with my transmitter. I use the 5740 frequency, there should exist some receiver that are on same frequency

Right or left polarisation should be the same on CL and SW antenna or it dosent matter?

Thanks for your help, much apreciated.

one last question: if i find a video receiver that use the same frequecy as my transmitter (example 5740), it should work right?
Because i realy like the ground station you suggest in this video:

I'll be publishing the design for a low-cost receiver (about $15-$20) that will match the FPV backpack frequencies (5645-5945). This will make low-cost diversity quite practical.

Amazing 20$ diversity !!! Can't wait to see how it's made. I stay tuned!
