In any case we changed radios and I binded the Phoenix to my son's RC. Lucky I was at the controls as I was trimming it out for him. I lost all control for a short period and control came back just before it was about to hit. This was a very close call.

Damn, that really was a near thing!

Yes I was very lucky the BEC finally decided to power the Receiver when it did and held out long enough for the landing. So lucky I didn't destroy my son's Phoenix! You know I actually have trouble looking at it. I only looked at it again after replying to your post and I thought it would be worth while getting it out there. Notice I landed with the Wind! I just wanted to get it down as soon as possible

Also be glad that the Rx rebooted in time. Had it been a $pektrum Rx you may be ordering a new Phoenix.
