Ok, been doing some more flying with the SkySurfer. Getting more confident and even some good height.
Had a great 30min flight which went over the dam wall at Cardina and did some good gliding too.
however, stupid me didn't turn the keychain camera on. So tomorrow looks like good weather and i
have the day off. i've charged up 3 batteries and will attempt to get some good views and if the wind
is light will be a little more steady.

Also did get the Skywalker electronics working. Got the tx/rx video working as well, however while
testing I didn't cover up the wire connections and therefore burnt out the 5.6 Ghz video transmitter.
So with that puff of smoke I had to get on the internet and order another one. That will teach me.
With that said I now know how to do the insides for FPV on the SkyWalker.

And yes my main issue was with getting the channels right on the tx and rx for the video. They are
very different. I set channel 4 which was two up and two down on the tx, but 3 down 1 up on the rx.
go figure? thank you internet...

Keep you all posted

Ok, so I did the maiden flight of my SkyWalker today.
WIthout FY21AP etc, just the basics with a keychain camera.
It seemed to struggle a bit with the weight of my 4s 5000mah battery
and I question whether I will need a more powerful motor and esc
to fly with everything else in it. I did however manage to get some
height and even lost sight of it a couple of time. (Heart attack).

The first time I tried to launch it, we came back down to ground
with a thud and broke my undercarriage, but repairable.

Second attempt I threw harder and off we went. Will post the
video here soon.

Good flight...Well done... I thought about going out but the wind seemed too much around here, looked ok with you and you are only about 30-40 klms away...?

So went out today to do my first FPV flight in the SkyWalker with camera, fy21ap etc installed.
All seemed to be ready as I tested it all last night.
The only difference was I hooked the googles to the cig lighter in the car.
I now realize that I was pumping to much power into the googled as
The smoke came pouring out if them. Bugger.
Well another expensive lesson learnt. I did fly the plane
To test out the stability with the fy21ap etc.

I do have a question on how to program the auto return, OSD modes and the
different modes on turning the stability on the fy21ap on and off.
The Turnigy 9x is the TX that I'm using, but I'm too dumb to
work out how to program it.

What goggles were they? I would have thought powering a base station from the cars 12V was a pretty good idea. ???
