fpv transmitter / receiver for CCTV ?

I am planning to use a 2.4Ghz or 5.8Ghz Hobbyking fpv transmitter/receiver combo to connect a standard cctv camera at our front gate to a TV monitor in the house. Now I am wondering if this is a good idea? Will the transmitter be up for 24/7 transmissions? Will it need extra cooling (fins or fans?)?
