Turnigy 9X 1500 mah Life Battery cables

I have recently received my new Turnigy 9X radio and a 1500 mAH Life battery that I am going to use to replace the 8 "AA" battery pack.

My question is, what cable can I get or make to adapt to the Turnigy 9X transmitter battery plug? I really don't want to cut the plug off of the 8 "AA" battery pack ( would like to be able to return it to stock, if I ever decided to).

Second question, what cable can I get or make to be able to charge my Life battery on Accucel-6 battery charger?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brad

The battery holder is useless if one cell fails to make contact for an instant.....
goodbye or in this case hello Mr Chips!
It has the balance lead, you could use two in line shrouded male plugs one to the charger with a banana plug on each supply line, the other to the plug you cut off the battery holder.

Okay, I see everyone's point.

So, does anybody have any suggestions on what cable or adapter I need to be able to charge my LiFe battery on my HobbyKing Accucell-6 charger.

Thanks,
Brad

personally i use the original lead cut off from the 8 battery tray and have soldered a jst to it that comes off the life battery
makes it a lot easter to disconnect the battery for charging and also is a standard plug
on retrospect i would have been better off soldering the jst lead directly to the board though

+1 on the shotglass method. I've used this method on two 9X's so far and it is definitely easier.

Thank you for everyone's reply's. I think I will use jst connectors between the battery and transmitter. I guess I will have to order what I need from HobbyKing. I am still working on getting an assortment of things for my little RC projects.

Thanks,
Brad

I simply made a cable with two banana plugs and a servo socket end from an extension cable. Cut off the servo plug end and take off the signal wire and terminal. strip ends of wire and add banana plugs.

Word of advice though, ALWAYS plug the banana plugs into charger before plugging in battery! You dont want any shorts from tha banana plugs touching.

Sounds like it's time to drag out your souldering iron Brad, here's a selection I have made up that suits all my needs for charging.
The charger output is XT60 and adapters are for Deans, JST and Molex. just have to make sure the polarity is correct.

Very simple and very easy, the fun is in the doing :D
