Hi Bruce, i m new to this hobby and i love it but i m a begginer and i will ask help for you people with much more experience. Ok so i bought a glider in hobbyking the axn floater jet clouds sky in pnf version.......wrong i know....after i finish the setup i ve notice that a servo on the wing is damaged. So i order from hobbyking some components i learned with the Bruce setup, a new esc 25,30 with 3 amps bec, new 10g servos, heatshrink, xt60 conectors. Ok so i want to replace the old servos already glued in the model and replace the default esc with the new one. My question is: how did i remove the default servos without damage the plane??? And how did i remove heatshrink from the older connectors???

Thanks in advance Bruce, and sorry for my poor english..

Continue with your reviews, you are the best..

Hi Mario,

Use a flat blade like a blunt table knife and slowly prise the servos out, you will cause some damage to the wings undersurface but nothing that will ruin the integrity of the wing. When you install the new servos a drop of hot glue on each mounting flanges and some fibre tape over the top is sufficient (and easily removed).

Remove the heat shrink with either a sharp blade or a small pair if clippers, the heat shrink is not welded to the surface, it just has a tight grip.

Innovation is one of the essential tools you need in your tool box, don't be afraid to use it and keep asking these questions.

Enjoy the hobby.
