If I buy a radio from overseas that comes with a 220v charger but for European countries (two round pins) - can I use a EU-AU plug on the end of it to safely charge the radios nicad in Australia on 240v?
This is one adapter plug I've found:

Yes. Thats how my radio came and not a problem. I would personally get rid of the nicad though and go with a low self discharge NiMH, for Tx's nicads are hopeless. I have charged my Tx once (when it didn't need it) since putting in LSD NiMH a few months ago. Then just charge the NiMH pack with hobby charger

Many thanks, I have an eneloop pack in my current transmitter and I agree - will replace the new one as well.
