Hard to say -- they supply it with a 1300mAH battery but I know that the AXN Floater flies better with a 2200mAH one.

This isn't an AXN Floater though so there may not be enough room for a 2200 or it might make the model nose-heavy.

Watch out if you're buying the RTF version with the 4-channel radio -- those radios are pretty basic and limited. I'd be sorely tempted to buy the ARF one and a Turnigy 9X radio which would allow you to use that radio with other models later on.

Of course you could always just get the AXN Floater, which is a known performer.

Until the *independent* reviews are in, it's a bit hard to say whether this model is better or as good as the AXN.

thanks for that I was thinking about the bixler as they say on the vids that it can be used as a fpv plane when you have got the hang of flying and the wingspan is larger than the axn so i thought that would make it more stable all thoughts are welcome though. Which ever way round i will purchase one next week

I have gone with the Bixler to go with my 9x... I do not think the model will make a lot of difference to the upcoming FPV installation.... The designs of the Bixler and the AXN Floater are similar... To me the Bixler looked better value, the postage seemed very high for the AXN...?

Yeah, the Bixler and the AXN do look pretty similar but I've not tested the Bixler son can't say with authority that they're as good or better.

The AXN is more widely available and there are places selling them that charge less for shipping than HK. I bought two from HiModel and it worked out quite a bit cheaper than buying the same from HK -- simply because of a much lower postage rate.
