My email to the Minister of Tourism in NZ
Posted: Mon May 06, 2013 7:25 amI am sorry, but I must send you a copy of my email to "Model Flying New Zealand" due to my initial interest in visiting your fine country, only to be insulted and affronted by the likes of Dave Wright, a secretary of Model Flying New Zealand who felt it (no doubt with support of his fellow NO-FUN board members) to eliminate Bruce Simpson of Tokaroa NZ as well as his friend Barry from being able to fly their model airplanes at the Tokaroa NZ model airplane field because they were having "TO MUCH FUN" and posting videos of such FUN on Youtube, in channels such as RCmodelReviews and the Xjet channel, both available to the entire world and promoting NZ as a destination of choice.
I had half a mind to make it a point of visiting NZ, but after seeing what has happened to Bruce and his friends..... well, lets just say any Communist country has about the same to offer, so I might as well go for the cheapest one, instead of NZ. After all... Russia has come to their senses and offer more to the modeling community than "Model Flying New Zealand"
I sent MFNZ an email stating my affront to their antics...... I will enclose a copy for yourself. Please excuse my "vitriol" as... I am.... upset... something that does not happen often to me.... at 58 years of age!

Feel free to pass this on to your fellow "hobbyists", if "hobby" is what you call your PATHETIC, not to mention ludicrous, ATTEMPT AT DICTATORSHIP style of political games.
RCmodelReviews, Xjet etc. on THE WORLD WIDE YouTube channel, is produced and documented by capable R/C pilots, who, unlike yourself, and those you CLAIM to represent, and are attempting to silence, or for that matter, anyone else, who is having a little good clean fun, is deplorable. Where do you lot think you are? A communist country like China?!?!? Get off you high, but tiny, hobby horse, and "Live a Little".
I expect nothing less than that you, and your pathetic little band of nitwits, fully re-instate the more than friendly, not to mention capable, chaps from the Tokaroa model airfield area, who post on YouTube in the RCmodelReviews, Xjet and other such NZ channels.... *If* you have a personal beef with Bruce, fine... Be a REAL MAN and take it up personally, but honestly, without any real reason.... how deplorably petty can you be, when you abuse your position in your local so called organization and go after someone like Bruce Simpson, not to mention his friend Barry, for what has been posted on YouTube, which not only promotes Tokaroa, but New Zealand as a whole? SHAME on you, SIR!
Honestly, I'm all for safety, but........ BUT, HAVE YOU NO SHAME..... at ALL?!?!??!
Normally I would finish with "Regards" but I have none for your kind of ilk.
Christian Setla, who thankfully lives in a "FREE COUNTRY", unlike NZ where, thanks to yourself and your ilk, will never see the likes of me, as there are plenty more hospitable places in the world to visit, other than your SELF MADE little, pathetic, cesspool!
