Nano Receiver and transmitter to match

Postby GrantCowe » Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:04 am

Hi Bruce, love all the videos and the helpful information. Just bought a EDF jet but I need to get hold of a 2.4 GHz nano receiver and a transmitter to match but I am finding it really hard to get hold of one! Got any ideas? :D

Do you have a link to a nano receiver and someone is probably able to figure out a compatible transmitter?

So you haven't purchased either of receiver or transmitter yet? But the set needs to include a very small receiver?

How nano exactly ?
Hobbyking has the SuperMicro series, they are tiny. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... Micro.html

This is the model I have ( http://www.bananahobby.com/2157.html ) so it needs to fit inside the cockpit, there is barely any room after I have the battery in so really quite small.

Check if one of these from FrSky fits in:
The regular 4channel reciever, size 34.5x19.5x8mm.
The micro 4channel, size 21x16x5.8mm

If these fit, I suggest you get a Turnigy 9X, and upgrade it to the FrSky, with either telemetry or not.

Another alternative would be to purchase a Spektrum DX6i (I have 3 of them and love them everyone) and the Orange 6 channel receiver: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... Port_.html
pull out the receiver from the box and it will fit into the canopy.
