Just curious as to whether or not it would be possible to replace one of the rotating knobs for a slider, like some of the new radios have. And mount it on the left side to use for flaps.
Don't care if I have to mount slider outside of the casing if room inside is an issue.

Should not be a problem.... sliders are just pots after all. There are some that have put miniature joysticks on the back of the radio for pan/tilt of the onboard fpv camera.... I'd suggest switching to ER9X or other custom firmware on the 9X as it becomes much much more configurable. While I like this forum a lot, when it comes to ER9X in particular, I'd suggest checking out http://9xforums.com

Yes, if the 9X had sliders it would become the only radio I needed. When I need sliders I use my JR9XII (9303) or my Hitec Optic 6.
