Old local Norwegian cure: Coffee Doctor

Recipe as follows:

Place a cube of sugar in the bottom of a large coffee mug.

Pour hot, strong black coffee over cube until you cannot see it.

Now pour 60% grain alcohol (vodka makes a reasonable substitute) into mug until you can see the cube again, or the mug has become full!

Drink and repeat as necessary until your cold is gone, or you don't care anymore... whichever comes first.

Either way, do not call me in the morning to complain about headaches!

I thought that you weren't supposed to get headaches/hangovers from vodka!

Has it been false advertising all these years?

My two magic elixirs are hot blackcurrant juice for fighting the cold, and suckling on slices of pickled cucumber to help with a sore throat.

Now, I have no idea how pickled cucumbers are in NZ, but here in Finland, we have two main types, literally translated as "Spice Cucumber" (Maustekurkku) and "Salt Cucumber" (Suolakurkku).
Suolakurkku is the best of these by far, and if I'm not all wrong, the English name for them would be "Brined pickles".
Healing ingredients include lots of salt, garlic, and sometimes blackcurrant leaves.
Humanity is conformity
Conformity is society
Society is this reality

Naw, it's just an issue of allergies. Personally, besides work, I'm allergic to Tequila... I discovered this one day when I drank a bottle of it and then I got all dizzy!

I have to speak-up for what i believe in, that is using microwave ovens is very bad for human and other living creatures health. Therefore you can not use one to help cure anything.
Here is a link for anyone interested in reading more about it: http://www.greenhealthwatch.com/newssto ... rview.html

Honey is a good natural cold remedy.
