I don't find this an attractive plane at all, but the technology look interesting.

looks like a VERY ugly plane :D but yeah, the tech does look quite interested. like to see it fly in real life
If you don't know it, Look it up

Maybe I am alone in this but in school growing up we would shoot ballpoint pens off our desks at each other when the teacher wasn't looking. This fan wing looks like its a larger-scale application of the same principle that made our pens fly.

We would strip all the guts out of the pen so it was just the plastic cylinder. Then set it down on the smooth desk surface, push down on the top of it with your fingers until it shoots out and off the desk. As the pen leaves your fingers it is rotating backwards. The backward rotation of the pen creates a lower pressure above it as it travels forward...ta da! A flying pen. It is even more effective if you scoured grooves down the length of the pen...must create a stonger pressure difference as the pen moves forward.

This plane seems to employ the same physics...interesting.

Weirdest looking thing, I'm no engineer (or pilot yet :D ) but a static airfoil would have to be more energy efficient than a mixmaster on roids. Would this thing glide or even auto rotate on engine failure.
Not enough time in the day for all my crazy ideas, I'm not slow, I'm just pacing myself

Sorry, borybosell,I don't think you'll be able to buy one like it.You would have to build it yourself.
It would have to be fairly big too,to carry the weight of the mechanics required.
Very intriguing though,I had thought about a model too.But too many others still waiting to be built
