Batt charger help

Nicad, NiMH, Lithium, A123? If it's transmitter or receiver batteries you want to talk about, do it in this forum.

Bruce has done a youtube video on how to do exactly what quarry has indicated above - ie mod unused PC power supply - simple and easy to follow as always!

The current crop of 4-button computerized chargers coming out of China are generally pretty good (except for the real budget models).

I use the Turnigy Accucel 6 and it charges lipos, LiFePO4, Nicad, NiMH and lead-acid with good balancing capabilities.

The cheaper "Eco" series from HK are not as good and I wouldn't recommend them though.

Ultimately it depends on how much power you need. The Accucel 6 is 60W with a 6A maximum charge current which is fine for packs up to about 4S 3300mAH or 3S 4400mAH. Anything larger will really merit a "gruntier" charger or the charge rates will be less than 1C and thus take longer.
