Bug in this BB SW?

Postby AltechMYOB » Sun May 20, 2012 3:59 pm

Why can't I search this forum for "frsky"!! :P It's more than 3 characters... the search engine returns -

"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: frsky.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards
."

I can't believe that word is "too common" in this part of the board... :?: :?: :?:

What I'm looking for is a better place than HK to buy frsky... they are still selling the older models, and they are no longer the cheapest, combined with very crappy service and practices, I've already had enough of them and said so on their forum. Of course the post disappeared within minutes.

Anybody know a better source? I see alofthobbies.com are selling the up to date versions and their prices seem good... anybody used them?

tnx...

i've bought DJT Tx modules, D4R-II Rx, D8R-II Plus Rx, sensor hub, FLD_02 Display, & a bunch of sensors (FLVS, Temp, FBVS) from Aloft Hobbies.

Prices were great - as good or better than HK
Shipping was fast - about 10 days to get to me (including a public holiday that got in the way)

Only negative i've had is i sent a number of emails asking support related questions and never got an answer. :-( ... figured all the issues out myself eventually.

Wayne (the owner) is very active on the FrSky thread on RCG and gets good wraps as far as support from people on there. I guess my experience was the odd one out.

I'd still buy from there again!
Turnigy 9x, FrSky 2-Way/Telemetry DHT DIY, Smartieparts BRD, ER9x FW
AXN-Floater (stock esc, motor & prop, HK orange 9g servos)
