I suspect they don't care -- or even know what's going on.

The internet is something that barely exists in their world and that world only extends as far as the borders of this country as far as they are concerned - I suspect.

Bruce,

I'm a fan from San Diego, CA USA. It looks like they reacted by replacing the video with a new one (yahn).

What do you think will be outcome of this brewhaha? Hopefully you will be able to keep SWMAC fun  AND flying. :D

I appears that this has had a negative impact on you posting lately

We had TV here today, they're running with the story -- something smells here and they have got the scent.

The local newspaper is also doing a piece on this situation.

They were also quite intrigued that $100,000 of public money has just been spent on building a public toilet in a restricted "operational area" which is (now) open only to the handful of pilots who use the airfield -- especially when you consider that their club has its own toilet facilities.

I think there's a bit of corruption going on here.

The district councils own website is tonight "unavailable" -- perhaps so that the media can't get access to their annual reports which show just how much public money has been spent during the past 12 months -- for the benefit of just four or five relatively rich and influential individuals.

Any chance one of you NZ blokes can record and flip to YouTube for the rest of us. Big call I know but some of us are aching for the SWMAC blokes, the ditch is bloody deep and wide some stories just don't make it to us Aussies :)

If they don't get their field back I'm going to clip my other wing in protest

Lucky Thomas and myself don't fly in NZ! Sounds like having fun goes against your national body
