RCV58CD

hi Bruce / forum members,

I am interested in this little 4 Stroke to power a Sportsman Aviation Fw 190 .40. I currently have a GMS 47II in there, spinning a 12x6MAS at around 10500 WOT. Performance is spritely and scale like. I have tried teh 11x7 and 11x6 and those so is make noise from both engine and prop. The 12x6 is much quieter and the performance does not suffer.
But I want more scale sound and also something that'l run a little longer.

How does the RCV58CD compare to other 4strokes in that size like the OS .52 FS Surpass or 60size 4strokes?

I can't give you the benefit of any direct experience with the 58, but I have recently been flying the .90-sized RCV CD and was thoroughly impressed with it.

Very quiet and tractable engine, imo.

HTH a little.

Doh, I just realised how old is the OP's post. He's probably given up model flying and retired to the country, by now.
