Hi everyone, have needed on for a while now actually, but have been using a 12v battery. Does anyone have OR know someone who has an ATX Power Supply (around 500W). Free would be nice but i doubt that will happen so i am willing to pay MAX $50 for a decent as i dont want a crap one.

Tried your local computer repair guy?
Worth a call to see if they have a discarded psu as it will be less rubbish for them to dispose of.

Second hand obsolete computers can be had for next to nothing at yard sales, second hand stores. Get one, strip the power supply and toss the rest.

I had to try out my own advice this week and went to a local pc shop where I picked up an old 350w psu for no cost (they are not allowed to sell second hand psu).
Suffice to say it is going well so far.
