HackHD = Gopro like camera... bare board?

I just found this on SparkFun: http://goo.gl/eswCu

It's a 1080p camera, bare board, that is claimed to be very similar to a GoPro sans the exterior case. It's a bit rich for my blood, but perhaps someone here may have some interest in it? There are some sample videos linked from the product page.
