No,it definitely can't be repaired,you need to get Frsky!There's your excuse
Of course,if you can't afford it at this time,you may be able to prise open the case,and solder new wire(s) directly to the board.But I'm not sure what is contained within the heatshrink.Perhaps that has something to do with the tuning,as I've never seen it on other radios.
Actually,since many people have migrated to Frsky,there must be a good few of these rx's laying about in drawers.Check fleabay,or if you can't find anything at all,i've got a spare one.Trouble is,with what nz post charges these days,it's probably cheaper to jump on a plane and deliver it myself
