That is a very valid point Dave, I have been "watching thumbs" for the last few meets and this has improved my own flying.

Hey Guys,

Thanks so much for your help so far and wisdom.

Another question I have is about my Turnigy 9x - does anyone know how to tone down the throttle on it - it goes from nothing to about 70% power to 100% power in the tiniest increment of the stick which makes it very hard to use - I need some kind of beginner throttle...

Thanks,

Ant

Sounds as though the sticks need calibrating
You need to read the manual and the stick calibration information

Hey Ant,

When ever you have issues with throttle control or are try something new, TAKE THE BLADES OFF.
Take it from a "bleeder" it will save you alot of grief.

Once having done the calibration check the startup window on your Tx, are you in ACRO or HELI. If you are in HELI and have values in the MIXER/CURVE page this could be giving you the "odd" throttle.
On a AXN with 4ch Rx you won't need values in MIXER/CURVE to begin with.
Enjoy.
