The old DIY V8HT module problem..

Postby Nobel0 » Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:59 am

Hello everybody,
Have a nice day, i am a new here today :)..but old on Mr.Bruce's youtube :):)..

My problem guys is that i set the old DIY V8HT module to my Turnigy 9X like what Mr.Bruce did ..

Also i bought Delta 8 Multi-Protocol Receiver for using it on my upgraded turnigy 9x..

The problem is, it is not binding,, Although the TX and Rx goes to there binding mode successfully. But when switching both off then first switch on the TX then RX .. Rx will flash green ..refer to its manual this means there is no signal ..
So, Does anybody have a solution , suggestion or idea..

Note, i also open the TX to see if there any losen wire but looks fine.. and tried to bind it with a distance but also not bind   ..

Sorry for my long written..

Thank you.
Best Regards

Some suggestions:
One: they have not made this receiver backward compatible with the old transmit module.
To test this use a known compatible RX such as V8R4/V8R7-HV/V8R7-SP/V8F etc.

Two: you have incorrectly wired the transmit module.

Three: the transmitter is set for pcm mode.

Four: you have a non functional receiver or transmit module.

Hello,,
Thank you Mr.BillGriffiths100 for your respond.. i am highly appreciate it.

after doing crazy way in binding :) i figured it out and it works fine ...
Refering to RX manual procedures :

FrSky D8/V8 Module:
1- Push and hold the button on the back of the
module. Power on the transmitter.
2- Push and hold the button on the receiver.
Power on the receiver.
3- When the red and green LED’s flash together,
the receiver is now bound.

NOW MINE LAST PROCEDURE IS THAT :
4-"You must wait until it flashing both red and green (mine takes around a minute until it gives red & green flash LEDs)" .

this what i was facing of problem..

BUT i coming with a slightly problem that:
The Hitec aurora 9 i cant getting it as a master Because the DIY module on turnigy 9x does not has a T.Pupil or cancelling the antenna. The DIY module on turnigy 9x can be master Because Hitec aurora 9 has T.Pupil function...

So, do you have any suggestion in making the turnigy 9x DIY V8HT module without transmitting mode. Just Receiving mode ?? Because when using the radio jack on both TXs the T9x go ON with it self but dont get any respond from aurora 9 (i do the programming)...

sorry for my long describe :) :) ..
thank you again Mr.BillGriffiths100..

I think the firmware was updated by hobbyking but I have no idea of what was changed.
A lot of us have reflashed our firmware to the er9x or it's variants, this gives a much better radio and there are lots of options available.

A lot of information on dual control etc on the forum: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=5
Alternatively a wireless buddy box system might solve your immediate problems:

Hello again guys,

i finally solve the problem but BY using the wireless training method..
To use it you should have two RX.
Firls RX will bound in the slave TX and connected in the Master TX.
The other RX will bind to the master which is for the model plane.

NOTE: The two RX not should be have Multi-protocol ..

then, the RX which bind on the Slave should have CPPM (like my delta 8 RX) and then put a jumper on the 3+4channels and bind it .

then you can use the CPPM on the Ch1 AS MY RX.

thank you.
Hope these informations help you ..
