There's a large new range of warbirds being released by FMS, all around 1.4m wingspan or greater and good flight reports have been coming in. The current ones available are the p51, p40, p47, Spitfire and BF109. I have the P-51 version 2 and it flies absolutely FANTASTIC :D There's a Corsair and b-17 scheduled to be released in August which should satisfy alot of people too

Some shops are offering the kits only for around $99USD plus shipping, you just have to keep an eye out for when they're in stock. Some dealers that I know of are PW-RC(CHINA), RC-Castle(CHINA) Aerialhobby(Singapore), Nitro planes(US), ChargedRC(OZ), XtremeRC(OZ), Ready2fly(europe). I got the Mustang kit and just put my own electrics in it, she flies awesome :D All of em have video up on youube now and to me the Mustang and 109 probably look the most stable, I am only going by video though so pilot and wind conditions etc could've been a factor

I'd like to review more airframes but the freight cost to get them to NZ is just a killer -- it often costs as much as the plane itself (sometimes more!).

I hear ya, freight IS a killer whether it's NZ or OZ :( I read that Jason said the new HK warehouse in NSW in Batemens Bay will be stocking some BIG models which will only be available to OZ/NZ, US and DE warehouse. I hope this is true, I know HK sell some FMS models, if they could only start selling these warbirds also then we 'might' see decent prices...I said might ;)

I just read that HK are going to be stocking these bad boys in their DE warehouse so hopefully the AU and US warehouses aren't too much further away :D actually, even if they got them in their china warehouse I would still buy one

just been watching a few youtube vids of these FMS birds and the yellow P-51 from Xtremehobbyaustralia looks so smooth in flight. i wouldn't mind getting one.

A quick google for a NZ supplier came across these guys in Hastings. (but none in stock)
http://www.wattsup.co.nz/catalog/produc ... ts_id=3885
I've emailed them for availability/price.

their listed price is identical to the http://www.xtremehobby.ashop.com.au/p/1 ... eller.html version.
I tried out the cart purchase to get a price from Xtremehobby but the freight calculation failed i believe.

JBC.. bit of a noob question for ya, whats the benefit of getting the kit? do you prefer your own electrics or ...?
