FrSky Set up

Postby jet760 » Wed Aug 25, 2010 2:22 pm

Hi Bruce I was setting up my new Frsky 7 channel Rx in my Eflight Ultra stick and was thinking about the antena placements. they say to run 1 antena at 90 degrees to the other I have included some photos do you think this ok ? I have 1 antena coming out the side of the fuz at 90 degrees to the fuz and the other coming the bottom of the fuz running along down the fuzdo you think this set up is ok. With the antena coming out the side of the fuz I am thinking to place some antena tube over it to keep it from folding back when flying. you help on this would be much appreciated. It is my understanding it is best to have these antenias out side the fuz or can you leave them inside.
regards David

The only problem I can see is that the antenna which simply protrudes from the fuselage at 90 degrees will be blown back by the slipstream as the model moves through the air. I'd be more tempted to run vertically against the fuselage side -- you can do this inside the model since the balsa won't affect the signal in any real way.
