Turnigy 2.4 Module Hack

If you've been building electronic bits or modifying stuff you've bought then tell us all about it here. A good place to discuss the installation of 2.4GHz DIY modules too.

Turnigy 2.4 Module Hack

Bruce,

Is it possible to fit a switch to the module to turn it off when you want to use a simulator?
It would make it easier than removing it each time, would also mean I could remount my antenna back on the TX.
As the electronics are pretty small in the module, which trace would you have to cut?
If it was like a dipswitch mounted just below flush with the modules back plate then it wouldn't get knocked accidentally.....

Any ideas?

Simon

Yes, you could mount a switch to do that. It would pay to make it a 2-pole switch so that you could disconnect the power and the PPM signal at the same time -- that way the PPM signal won't be trying to over-drive the input circuit of the module when it's not powered-up.

I'm working hard on the 9X section that will appear here shortly.

It'll have circuit diagrams, some more DIY projects, links to the various software re-writes that are being done and a bunch of other stuff.
